This easy Strawberry Dump Cake with cream cheese is an irresistible combination of strawberry cheesecake flavors with a buttery crust-like cake mix topping! Perfect as a hot or cold dessert.
Add the cream cheese and sugar to a medium bowl, and beat with a hand mixer until creamy, about 2 minutes.
Dump the strawberry pie filling into the baking dish, and spread into an even layer. Add the chopped strawberries if using. (Just layer them on, no need to mix).
Add spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture all over the strawberry layer.
Sprinkle the dry cake mix over that.
Melt the butter in a small bowl, then pour over the cake mix layer.
Transfer the baking dish to the oven, and bake for 55-60 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
Remove from the oven, and allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
