Ingredients
2ozCoconut Rum
2ozAperol
.75ozcoconut cream
.75ozlime juice
.5ozmaple syrup or honey
Paprika, red chile flakes and a wedge of lime to rim the glass
Instructions
Rim the glass by rubbing fresh lime on the edge of the glass, then dipping the wet edge in a mix of paprika and chile flakes on a plate.
Combine the coconut rum, Aperol, coconut cream, lime juice, and maple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake well.
Add fresh ice to the prepared glass.
Strain the cocktail into the glass.
Garnish with fresh mint and/or lime wedge.
Notes
Try to use cold ingredients when making this drink for the best flavor.
If you don't have coconut cream, you can use coconut milk instead (the kind that comes in a can, not the runny kind in the refrigerator section). It is unsweetened so you may need to add a little simple syrup.
You can use Cointreau instead of Aperol if that’s all you have. It will add a little bit more sweetness so use less of your preferred sweetener, taste and adjust.
