This Mimosa Mule is a tasty wine cocktail to make for any celebratory moment. Itโ€™s a combination of a few of my favorite easy cocktails and is a fun and refreshing drink.

If youโ€™re a Moscow Mule recipe fan, youโ€™ll love this simple twist. If you love mimosas, youโ€™ll probably like it too. With champagne, orange juice and ginger beer, youโ€™ve got all the flavors you expect in this mash-up of classic drinks.

There are some recipes that just feel like they should be served and drunk in the morning. And a Ginger Beer Mimosa is one of those. So if youโ€™re looking for the perfect breakfast cocktail, this is it!

What you need to make a Moscow Mule Mimosa.

Look for a pulp-free orange juice to use unless you donโ€™t mind the extra texture.

I love Reedโ€™s Ginger Beer. Itโ€™s not overly sweet and has a nice ginger bite. I donโ€™t think that ginger ale is a good substitution because itโ€™s much sweeter.

You can use any champagne or sparkling wine you prefer. It doesnโ€™t need to be expensive but you should like the flavor of it when sipped on its own.

Step 3

Top with champagne.

Everyone has a certain way that they like their mimosas. I like mine with just a splash of orange juice.

The orange juice flavor in this cocktail is to my liking, on the subtle side, but if you like to really taste the orange juice just add more.

The addition of ginger beer changes the flavor of the champagne just enough to make it feel different. (And I love how ginger tastes with champagne).

But you still get all that bubbly goodness.

I served mine over ice in a copper mug, but you could also make this and serve it in a champagne flute or wine glass. (Or whatever glass you want).

Ways to make it your own

Add another flavor, like grenadine and turn it into a sunrise mimosa! If youโ€™ve ever had my Vodka Sunrise, you know that cherry and orange juice goes really well together.

Make it more like a traditional Moscow Mule and add 1-2 ounces of vodka and some fresh mint.

Skip the orange juice and try using grapefruit instead. Itโ€™s tangy and slightly bitter. Or try a tropical juice blend. Both of those flavors would be great with ginger beer.

You can enhance the ginger flavor even more by adding ginger liqueur or ginger syrup.
