My Coolsculpting Results with Before and After Pictures
If you’ve considered fat freezing, I’m sharing my Coolsculpting results and experience to help you decide if it’s right for you. With before and after images, read on to find out more about this simple, non-surgical procedure for helping to target trouble areas with ease.
My coolsculpting results are in partnership with CosmetiCare. As part of the #CosmetiCareMoms ambassador group, I am given complementary treatments so I can share the process with my readers.
Why Coolsculpting
It’s hard to see Coolsculpting results week by week but I want to share what the process was like and if I think it’s worth the trouble.
When I told people I was going to get Coolsculpting a lot of people gave me grief. I do everything I can to hide my body flaws and I think I do it pretty well.

I’m glad that people think I am thin. But I know the truth of what my body is really like. I’m very soft and definitely carry extra weight. A non-surgical fat removal was something that totally appealed to me.
Originally I thought we were going to do 2 rounds, one on the love handles and one on my stomach. At my appointment, my technician, Rosie, thought we should focus primarily on the flanks and do two rounds there.
The flanks are the area on your lower back, wrapped onto your sides that sits below the ribs near your hips. It’s a pretty typical problem area on women.

Yes, I’m thin. However, I have a lot of softness, and the minute I put on clothes the flaws come out. Of course, another option would be to work out.
I almost canceled this appointment because I got all up in my head about being lazy and that I could take care of this problem myself.
But I started talking to CosmetiCare about this treatment way before summer. Then in June I lost a bunch of weight but my stomach pooch was still there. It was what I needed to realize that sometimes working out can only get you so far.
Rosie took some before photos of the flanks area she was going to target.
Here’s another view. This looks a little better than the image above in the leopard pants but they were taken on the same day. It really shows how depending on where clothing hits you, your body can look totally different.
During Coolsculpting
She prepped me for the fat freezing by marking where she would put the machine and then we got started.
Because they have 2 machines, you can target 2 areas at one time. We started with the higher love handle area and did it on both sides for the 36-minute cycle.
What does Coolsculpting Feel Like?
It feels like something is sucking your skin and freezing it. It was not painful at all. It’s not even uncomfortable. It felt cold but I wasn’t freezing overall. It was seriously the easiest thing ever.
Unlike my Microneedling experience, this was relaxing and chill. You literally just lay there.
This is what the area looked like when we finished. It’s kind of like a giant hickey. We did another 36-minute cycle on the lower portion (you can see where she drew that area so there would be a little bit of overlap).
Once both areas were done, she massaged them to help soften up the area since the machine freezes the fat and it hardens a little.
Since the dead fat cells drain through the lymphatic system she suggested I get more massages that week and drink a detox tea. I did drink a detox tea daily but didn’t have time to work in massages.
I did experience a little bit of bruising but it wasn’t bad. The area was tender for a few days but also still numb so it was fine. It was a very odd sensation, but not painful.
There wasn’t any downtime and putting clothes on didn’t irritate it. It’s a super easy procedure for sure.
After Photos of My Coolsculpting Results
It’s been 5 weeks since I had Coolsculpting done at CosmetiCare. There is still a slight bit of numbness.
I did not keep track of my Coolsculpting results week by week as I don’t think there is a significant enough change to really notice. At least in my case.
Coolsculpting results after 1 week were barely noticeable.
After looking at the before and after photos (the above with blue curtains were taken at CosmetiCare) I decided to put these leopard pants on again to see I noticed a difference in the love handle area.
And I guess there is a slight difference. Rosie did say you should do multiple rounds to really shrink an area. I don’t have any more scheduled so I’m calling these my final results.
I think these after shots show that it was a very subtle change. To be honest, since it is an area that I can’t really see that well, it’s hard for me to say if there is a huge difference.
I had been focusing on my stomach up until minutes before the appointment so I didn’t take a lot of photos of this area before.
Does Coolsculpting Really Work?
I feel like I can’t truly answer that question. I think it probably does but I have to say that I didn’t give it a good chance of getting amazing results due to various factors.
-I caught a virus in April that attacked my thyroid and caused my body to go through Hyperthyroid symptoms (weight loss during the summer) then swing into Hypothyroid symptoms (weight gain happening now).
-I had the Coolsculpting done the day after I got home from a week-long cruise of eating burgers and tacos.
-I had a CO2 laser treatment done on my face, a week after my Coolsculpting, which kept me hiding inside on the couch for almost two weeks with very little activity.
I think if you follow a healthy lifestyle, and participate in a little bit of exercise, your results will be much more profound than mine.
Even six weeks after Coolsculpting my results were very similar to those shown in the photo.
Would I do it again? Sure, because it was that easy. And I would certainly try harder to get better results.
UPDATE: There was recently a news story out about a model named Linda Evangelista. She had an adverse reaction where fat grew in the areas she had this done instead of shrinking.
It isn’t all that common. But you should read more if you are considering this (or any other procedure for that matter). Do you homework and do what you feel is right for you.
How much is Coolsculpting?
My 2 rounds of fat freezing cost approximately $3,000. I’m stupid grateful that I get these treatments for free to share the experience with you and I want to make sure I’m giving you all the details so you can make the best decision.
One of the things I’ve found is that you really need to make an appointment at CosmetiCare for a consultation.
Many times I go in with an idea of what I want for a treatment to find out that they suggest something that would be even better for me.
It can take between 2 – 6 weeks to really see the results so I’m happy to be able to finally share my Coolsculpting results with you!
I know that these treatments can cost a lot of money so you really want to be certain you are going to get results!

Listen, I don’t know many women who are excited about getting older. So when Cosmeticare asked me to be an ambassador and try out some treatments I was all in.
My goals for aging are to try to do it gracefully and get help where needed. At the moment, I’m not interested in surgical procedures. I just want to look like myself, just more refreshed.
While I’ve done Botox, Restylane and a CO Laser Treatment, I hadn’t yet tried anything for my stubborn love handles. And Coolsculpting was the perfect treatment to try.
