An Almond Milk Cocktail You’ll Love
Bourbon milk punch is a cocktail recipe, milk-based, that is sometimes hot, sometimes cold, uses different liquors, and has warm spices, like cinnamon.
But sometimes you can’t have dairy, let alone in a cocktail. So I decided to make this non-dairy by using almond milk as the base instead of regular milk.

Almond Milk Bourbon Punch is a little bit similar to my Coconut White Russian so I knew that I would probably really like it. Turns out, I REALLY like this drink.
Winter is the perfect time of year for milk punch. Even though I made a cold version, the holiday-like spices make this feel warm and cozy.
Ingredient Notes
- Almond Milk – Make sure you use an almond milk that you love the flavor of. I like unsweetened Califia Farms or Malk.
- Vanilla – Choose the best quality vanilla that you have.
- Bourbon is a great pairing with seasonal spices. And I used spiced rum to enhance the flavor further.
If you would like to use a different milk alternative, feel free to use what you like. It will change the flavor slightly.
How to Make Bourbon Milk Punch with Almond Milk
Step 1
Add the almond milk to your cocktail shaker.
Step 2
Add the bourbon and spiced rum.
Step 3
Add vanilla.
Step 4
Add simple syrup and ice.
Step 5
Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass over fresh ice.
Step 6
Garnish with cinnamon and nutmeg.
YUM! There is something about the smell of nutmeg that gets me every time! I think it might be one of my favorite smells. EVER.
Top Tips
- For even more spice flavor, add cinnamon and nutmeg to the cocktail shaker to shake up with the rest of the ingredients although they will separate in the glass.
- Another option for more spiced flavor is to make a vanilla cinnamon simple syrup.
While there is the word “punch” in the name, it is not actually a punch in the sense that you will have enough to serve a lot of people.
This non-dairy rum and bourbon milk punch recipe is a unique cocktail idea that you have to try.
