This Champagne Float is made with tart strawberry lemonade and sweet and refreshing strawberry sorbet and is perfect for serving a crowd, but works just as well for one! It makes a great addition to any girls’ night.
The best summer champagne cocktail
This strawberry lemonade and champagne cocktail recipe ended up being really delicious and something I think you guys need to make this summer.
I knew a pink cocktail idea would go great with my girl’s night post so I grabbed a bottle of strawberry lemonade and got to work.

It’s a simple champagne sorbet cocktail that is full of flavor and it is crazy easy to make. No measuring required!
I love to share cocktails with my girlfriends! Sipping on simple wine cocktails can sometimes be the best self-care ever!
Ingredients
- champagne
- strawberry sorbet
- strawberry lemonade
My boys love strawberry lemonade so I picked it up knowing that they’d be super excited to drink it once I was done using it for my shoot. It was even on sale and cost about $1.50.
I thought a little splash of champagne would go quite nicely with the lemonade.
As the sorbet melts, it flavors the sparkling wine and is super refreshing. So I picked up some strawberry sorbet to add a double dose of strawberry flavor (and more pink!) to the drink.
How to Make a Champagne Float with Sorbet
Step 1
Add a few small scoops of sorbet to a glass.
Step 2
Top with some strawberry lemonade.
Step 3
Add champagne to your glass and enjoy.
Variations
- Make it even simpler – One of my favorite warm-weather drinks is a sorbet champagne cocktail that is even more simple than the recipe I’m sharing today. Just add your favorite sherbet or sorbet to a glass and top with champagne.
- Make it non-alcoholic – skip the champagne and serve with sparkling water instead.
Tools
When I’m making cocktails, I want to keep things simple. I don’t think you need fancy tools to make and enjoy your own cocktails. If you’re just getting started, and you’d like to add some tools to your home bar, check out the posts below:

That being said…
I’m not sure if you know, but I got a champagne saber for my birthday. What’s that, you ask? Oh, you know, it’s BASICALLY A SWORD THAT I CAN OPEN CHAMPAGNE BOTTLES WITH! (For real, see the video!) It was a total bucket list item and, because I have the best mother-in-law in the world, she researched and got me my very own saber.
Although sabering open a bottle of champagne isn’t exactly difficult, it does take some practice and I don’t want to end up wasting the good stuff. This means that I have an abundance of inexpensive champagne around the house.
Tips
- Party tip – Mixing champagne with another liquid is a great way to make a bottle of champagne bottle go further!
- Don’t Waste a Bottle – If you don’t want to open a full bottle of champagne, just for one drink for yourself, you can pick up canned wines to keep on hand! They’re such a great idea to not waste a whole bottle.
You guys. This strawberry sorbet cocktail with strawberry lemonade, strawberry sorbet, and champagne is perfect for a girl’s night, summer, and every single Friday.
Plus it’s pink. It’s a perfect party drink idea for bridal and baby showers and, of course, you can skip the champagne and make these for any little girl’s party.
These are good. Real good. Boozy lemonade floats are always a good idea. And as I mentioned before, my kids can also enjoy the lemonade and the sorbet.
If you don’t think this champagne float sounds delicious and like the perfect summer drink for yourself or your friends, I’m not sure we can be friends. And that’s ok because I can drink a whole bottle of champagne by myself. I’m not a quitter.
I’m totally kidding. I’m a total lightweight!
Cheers!
